Greetings from Holiday Beach….

            It is Almost Labor Day and the end of summer…a lot of changes again….Windy Sloane our Secretary left us on July 9, 2008 to return to College and former Board of Director Ann Bagley stepped up to take her place.  As an old guy I don't handle any changes well and we have gotten a little behind in keeping members up to date on goings on….

Good News:

            First off the Pool uses a card access system (same card that is used for the pier gate) for entrance into the pool hours are closed on Monday and Thursday for Cleaning and open other days from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM.

Bad News:

            The pool will closed this year on Sunday, August 31, 2008 for an indeterminate time. The BOD voted August 12, 2008 to close the pool, cancel the water and electricity.  We are out of money.

Good News:

            The pier gate has been fixed and has been working well…property owners have been catching "reds" off the Pier (keepers at that).  The BOD voted to repair the pier where possible…

As such the pier is not quite as dangerous as it was.

Bad News:

            The repair "band aid" cost the HBPOA its last $700.00.  The portapotty at the pier will go after Labor Day weekend.

More Bad News:

            BOD cancelled the mowing contract…good news volunteers will cut the grass.

Good News…The BOD are currently working on the next step to develop a procedure to amend or change the subdivision restrictions….More information as that develops.

            Really Great News…we have a property owner who has volunteered to send out our emails and be our webmaster….Look for improvements in the website…If you like the changes will tell you who the property owner is.
