Thank you to everyone who has helped maintain the fishing pier over the years. A lot
of volunteers and hard work have made a difference in keeping the pier in good condition. Please use caution as the
pier is in need of repairs, it is wobbly in places, and the decking has aged. As soon as we get the boat ramps operational
we will start on the pier.
The gate has been operating at the pier since May 1, 2006. Most of the reports the
HBPOA has received are positive. The gate has deterred non-property owners from crowding the pier.
If you do not have your pier card and are a property owner in "good standing"
(meaning all of your property accounts are paid), you may pick up a numbered card at the HBPOA office on Monday and Friday
from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. or Wednesday and Saturday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM If you are a "weekender" and can't get
in during the week, or on Saturday morning we can mail your card.
One gate card will be given at no cost to each property owner in good standing
regardless of the number of lots owned. If a property owner in good standing desires a second card for guests, one additional
gate card will be issued to you for a fee of $5.00. If an owner fails to pay his AMAs within 60 days after billed, he
is no longer in good standing, that owner's card(s) will be voided.
