Board of Directors, Special Meeting, August 10, 2007
President Bill Schmidt called the special meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.
Board members present: Bill Schmidt, Jim Collins, Julia Finegan, Walt Parker,
Charles Finegan, Al Slay, Sharon Walker, Walt Magness, Rose Arp, Randy Phipps, Rooster Bassett and Ann Bagley.
Absent: Chris Fortin, Jenny Lindsey, Tom Aldredge (Vacation) and Bob Dabney.
Parliamentarian Walt Parker stated there was a quorum present and acknowledged this
meeting to be legal.
President Bill Schmidt closed the mowing bids at this time and asked Ann Bagley to
open the envelopes and hand to Jim Collins. We will accept the lowest bid. Ann opens the envelopes, hands
to Jim Collins and he passes them around the board table for everyone to read ending with Bill Schmidt. While
Ann Bagley checked the addition on all bids and Jim Collins made phone calls on any questions, it was brought to our
attention that the Aldredges' had mowed the Pier park, David Gill had mowed the swimming pool, Ronell Burke had mowed around
Lee Miller center and Billy and Ronell Burke had used the brush hog and mowed Hillcrest Park. A Big Thank You to these
volunteers.
The low bid of $285.00 for mowing was made by Karl Petzol. Sharon Walker made
a motion to accept Karl Petzol's bid. Jim Collins seconded with an addendum made by Sharon for him to have notification
of insurance or sign a release or to accept second low bid. Ann Bagley seconded the addendum. Motion passed.
Ronell Burke suggested posting name and bid on board.
Walt Parker made a motion to adjourn and Sharon Walker seconded the motion.
Meeting was adjourned.
